Dive in to this jewel toned stunner of a day for Tracey and Michael by FQ fam and all round gem, Natalie of Pansy Fleur…
We chatted to Nat to find out what the inspiration was behind these beautiful blooms and how it all came together, read on below.
“Their late April wedding was held at the picturesque Growwild Wildflower Farm in the Southern Highlands. All the maple trees had turned shades of reds and burnt oranges which coincided perfectly with the vision for the day. From our very first consultation with Tracey the colour palette for the flowers was always quite clear, jewel tones with an autumnal feel.
We used a mix of local garden and imported roses, dahlias, hydrangea , tulips and delphinium. Tracey’s bouquet incorporated some really special items such as anthurium and orchids. I loved how we could include the tones of the maple trees at Growwild to the design, it all felt very cohesive. The marquee is a beautiful blank canvas so being able to bring it to life with so much colour was an absolute joy!
The ceremony space was a stand out for me. The reds, magenta, fuchsia and peach tones in the broken floral nest brought a burst of colour to the space without taking away from its natural beauty. The way the light hit the flowers during golden hour was a huge moment. However, I cannot take away from Tracey and her bouquet. I loved it when it was created, but as soon as Tracey held it with that spectacular gown, it was taken to the next level!
I wouldn’t change a thing about this day for Tracey and Michael! My advice to couples reading this is to step out of the box a little when envisioning your florals. Your venue plays a big part in how your florals will shine, so work with your surroundings and nature. Your florist will have lots of ways to make sure your flowers are one of a kind, sometimes a little trust goes a long way!”
