We’re excited to bring you Isabella & Joshua’s beautiful wedding by wonderful Sydney florists and FQ members Sweet Pea Botanica. Nikki and Ashlee always bring us swoon worthy florals and todays feature is no exception. We chatted to the girls about the inspiration behind the day, have a squiz below…
“Isabella and Joshua’s wedding took place on a warm summer day in mid-February. With a vibrant flower aesthetic, the vibes of the day were reflected seamlessly. The ceremony was in the stunning St Nikola Macedonian Orthodox Church, followed by a lively reception at Ottimo House in South West Sydney.
When Isabella and Josh approached us with their ideas, we were excited to see that they had envisioned large statement flowers in bright shades, accented by pastels and touches of white. Entrusting us fully with their vision, we created striking designs in varying shades of pinks, oranges, purples and white. The reception was held in a spacious white marquee, allowing the bright flowers to perfectly set the joyous mood for the night. Our selection of flowers included Colombian Roses, Delphinium, Dahlias, Hydrangea, Lisianthus, Chrysanthemums, Orchids and Anthuriums. We opted for flowers that have variegated tones to add unique touches to the arrangements, which captured the fun vibe perfectly.
The reception space stood out to us the most with it’s blank canvas, where our flowers were able to have their moment. Flower clouds enhanced each guest table, while the bridal table was styled with a combination of flower clouds and bud vases. Each arrangement was designed with captivating Phalaenopsis Orchids cascading along the table.
What we loved most about Isabella and Josh’s wedding was their openness to embracing colour, we love to remind couples that there are no rules to how a wedding should look. If colour resonates with you, go for it! Have some fun with it and make your wedding truly yours. Something else that made the day extra special was enhancing Isabella’s home with lush flower arrangements, making the morning preparations even more exciting. We then repurposed the arrangements to create a welcoming entrance to the reception for their guests. It was a pleasure creating the flowers for Isabella and Josh, having the creative freedom and having a bit of fun with them!”
