About the role:

Located in Coldstream, The In-House Wedding Florist is responsible for designing, creating, and maintaining floral arrangements for all events booked with The Providore Styling. This role involves working closely with clients, and the venue’s events team to deliver customised floral designs that enhance the aesthetic appeal of the venues and meet the clients’ vision and expectations. This role involves a combination of venue dressage, event styling and full wedding floristry.

This is a full-time on-site role and requires the ability to work to a flexible roster, working across the weekend and public holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

Floral Design & Creation:
– Design and create floral arrangements, including bouquets, centerpieces, decorative installations, and other floral elements for weddings, corporate events, banquets, and other occasions.
– Stay updated on floral design trends
– Customise floral designs based on client preferences, event themes, and budgets.

Client Consultation:
– Meet with clients to discuss their floral needs.
– Ensure all client requirements are clearly understood and translated into beautiful floral displays.
– Inventory Management:
– Manage the inventory of flowers, foliage, and other related materials.
– Order fresh flowers and supplies from vendors as needed, ensuring high-quality and timely turnaround.
– Maintain the freshness and quality of product, including proper storage and care.

Event Setup & Coordination:
– Collaborate with the events team to set up floral arrangements at the venue before events.
– Provide on-site support during events, including last-minute adjustments and maintenance of floral installations.
– Venue Décor Dressage:
– Regularly refresh and maintain styling and dressage of all venues
– Ensure the venue always looks visually appealing with fresh and vibrant floral arrangements.

Administrative Duties:
– Manage floral budgets, prepare cost estimates, and handle reporting for floral services.
– Keep detailed records of client preferences, information and sales data.
– Collaborate with the marketing team to showcase floral designs for promotional purposes.
– Administer procurement of sales for wedding floristry
– Draw up floral quotes

Qualifications and experience:

– Proven experience in Wedding Floristry (2 years minimum), preferably in a high-end hospitality or events setting.
– Strong portfolio showcasing a range of floral designs and arrangements.
– Excellent knowledge of flowers, plants, and floral design techniques.
– Creative flair and attention to detail with a passion for floral artistry.
– Strong communication skills and the ability to work with clients and team members effectively.
– Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
– Physical ability to handle flowers, plants, and related materials, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
– Knowledge of proper flower care and maintenance practices.
– Flexibility to work on weekends, holidays, and evenings as required by event schedules.
– Sound knowledge of the Microsoft suite (outlook, word, excel)
