Spotlight on Toowoomba White Weddings
Today, we are lucky enough to get to sit down with the wonderful Tamara, of Toowoomba White Weddings, to chat all things business, life and flowers. You have no doubt come across their beautiful designs on social media and we are so excited to dive a bit deeper and find out more about who is behind the beauty.
Toowoomba White Weddings is a creative duo made up of Tamara & Beau, both grew up in Toowoomba and recently tied the knot themselves after 12 wonderful years together. They are also the proud parents to two little boys, so when they say they are a little family business they genuinely mean that!
Sit down with a cuppa as we find out all about this family run biz…
Tell us a little bit about Toowoomba White Weddings and how your business came about?
We are a hubby wife duo – which most people are shocked about Beau is so often called the “helper husband” when we work with new vendors – when he is a Florist and is just as much apart of this business as I am.
We started back in 2012 as a Hire Company when our first born was just a baby. Beau has spent most of his adult life working and travelling QLD with Major Events building marquees. He saw a bit of a gap in Toowoomba on the décor and styling side of events, so we thought why not give it a go? We added florals into our offering back in 2016 after doing the course at the Flower School and here we are.
We specialize in weddings & love working with clients who share our love of gorgeous blooms, however, we also love to be apart of special events when we have availability as well.
I consider myself to be very lucky to work everyday with my husband, who is my best friend. We have 2 beautiful boys and operate from our home studio in Toowoomba.

What does a day in the life look like at TWW?
Every day looks quite different to the next depending what our week ahead looks like or the past week has consisted of and we are purely a team of 2, full time (which we love).
Office days can consist of emails, creating quotes, client consults, content creating, flower orders & timeline planning for upcoming weddings, delegating linen and hire products for upcoming weddings. Liaising with other vendors.
Studio days, pending where we are in the week, can consist of washing flower buckets, vases and candle holders from previous weddings. Doing a trailer run to the tip to remove all of our green waste, cleaning our flower fridges and cold rooms, unpacking sundries ect.
Picking up florals from our wholesalers and prepping, stripping, creating bouquets, creating any arrangements we can in advance to be prepared for our couples day, ribboning boxing up bridal blooms,
On a crazy week it can be a mix of all of the above!!
Then somedays (because we are human) we might not work at all – we might simply be feeling the need for a break, not feeling very creative or just want to have some quality time outside of work so we might have a lunch date, take the kids away for a few days, our kids might be sick or something has come up – or you will find Beau on a golf course.
Life is busy & it is all about work/life balance for us. We have worked really hard to grow into the business we are today, & we really like to ensure we allocate ourselves time off amongst our crazy weeks.
We work really hard so we can enjoy life when we are not working. No two days are the same and we love that.

What’s your favourite part about what you do?
Honestly getting to work alongside my best friend number 1, and the incredible people who choose to entrust us to be apart of their dream day. We work with the most beautiful couples possible and I couldn’t imagine us spending our days any other way.
Where do you see yourself or your business in 5 years?
Just continuing to do what we love, working with amazing people who want us to create floral magic for their big day.
